Board member of the Nigeria Football Federation, Emeka Inyama has disclosed that the federation is making efforts to arrange international friendly matches for the Super Eagles against the United States of America and Croatia with just 5 months to the kickoff of the FIFA 2014 World Cup holding in Brazil.Speaking with brilafm.net, Inyama noted that they will equally attempt to get games against teams similar to Nigeria's group opponents.
“A couple of friendly matches are being lined up with Croatia, USA and other teams as well and this is just in a bid to give the Super Eagles tests with similar teams in their World cup group”
“We are also still going to explore all the opportunities available to us between now and when the world cup will start in June”
Nigeria was the first African nation to qualify for this year’s mundial at the expense of the Walia Ibex of Ethiopia in Calabar. It will be a fifth FIFA world cup appearance for Nigeria and the second time they will feature in the world cup as African champions.Show less
