Waje, Mercy “Omo London” Ajisafe, Beverly Naya, Kaylah Oniwoh, the cast of Lekki Wives and more will be walking and creating awareness for cervical and breast cancer in Lagos with Exquisite Magazine and are inviting you to join them.
The Exquisite Magazine Against Cancer (EMAC) Walk is held every year to increase awareness for cervical, breast and prostate cancer and also provide free screening.
Every year Exquisite Magazine, with the support of its partners has been able to screen a number of people free of charge at the EMAC Walk. The 2nd edition will be held in September this year.
Tewa Onasanya (Editor-in-Chief, Exquisite Magazine) commented on the event saying – “we aim to raise more awareness for these cancers and highlight the importance of early detection via regular screening. We will be walking to different parts of Lagos and free screening will be made available“.
The Aim is to continue to increase the awareness for;
- Cervical Cancer (the only cancer with a pre-cancerous stage) which kills one woman every hour in Nigeria
- Breast Cancer which kills a woman every minute and
- Prostate Cancer where eight in ten black men will be affected in their lifetime.’
