EU condemns attacks in northern Nigeria

The EU has condemned, in very strong terms, the massacre perpetrated on 15 February in Izghe village in Borno.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the EU Commissioner for Foreign Policy, Catherine Ashton described the attack as despicable.
Ashton called on the Nigerian authorities to unmask those responsible for the massacre and make them face the full weight of justice.
Report says that over 100 people were reportedly killed in the massacre which the Islamist militants, Boko Haram, has claimed responsibility for.
