Femi Kuti has reportedly lost out on winning a Grammy for the fourth time in a row.
According to reports, the afrobeat singer who was nominated in the World Music category for his 2013 album No Place For My Dream, lost out to a tie between winners Gipsy Kings and Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
He previously lost out to Panamanian salsa singer Ruben Blades in 2003, US banjo player Bela Fleck in 2010 and Malian band Tinariwen in 2011.
However, Femi took it in stride and wrote on his Twitter page, "Congrats to the winners.the nomination already made my year not winning won't spoil it."
Femi, who has allegedly grown less optimistic about winning a Grammy Award and has intentionally skipped attending since 2011, was represented by his sister, Yeni Kuti.
